Originally from Rochester, New York, Myah Cancellieri began her career behind the chair after graduating from cosmetology school in February 2025. Since then, she has continued building her skills through hands-on experience along with advanced education from Wella and Kérastase. She joined The Beauty Edit, bringing with her a love for blonding, bouncy blowouts, and creating hair that feels just as good as it looks.
For Myah, one of the best parts of being a hairstylist is getting to know the person in her chair. She loves helping clients feel more confident in themselves, but she also appreciates being someone they can relax with, talk to, and enjoy their time in the salon. She wants every appointment to feel comfortable and personal, whether someone is coming in for a major change or simply wants to feel refreshed.
Her biggest inspiration has always been her mom, who encouraged her to follow what she loves and never let the fear of failing keep her from trying something new. That mindset played a big role in Myah’s decision to move to Florida at just 19 years old and begin building a career from the ground up in a place where she didn’t know anyone, something she remains especially proud of.
Creativity has always been a big part of Myah’s life. When she isn’t behind the chair, you’ll usually find her at the beach, out on a boat with friends, or drawing and painting. That creative side carries into her work as well, where she loves finding the right color, shape, and finish to make each client’s hair feel uniquely theirs.
